At the center of Screwed is one small, seemingly harmless screw on board a spaceship — and that single screw is enough to throw everything into chaos. The short film playfully explores how even the tiniest object can cause the biggest disaster.
The film runs for about two minutes and is told in a single continuous shot. The camera follows the screw as it floats down the spaceship’s corridor, passing by various rooms. Rather than simply depicting the destruction in those rooms, each one of them tells its own miniature story, adding layers of humor, surprise, and visual storytelling.
The screw passes through three key areas: • First, the Laboratory, where an alien lies dissected on the table — at least at first. • Then Eddie’s Room, hidden behind frosted glass. Eddie sleeps through the madness at first, wearing a bright pink sleeping mask. • And finally, the Common Room, where a Whiteboard already indicates that someone named Eddie did not do the repairs
An alarm sounds, the lights turn red, and the screw is blown back through the same path — now in full-blown chaos. The alien has escaped, leaving a slimy trail. And just as the screw nearly returns to its original spot… it misses by inches.
The ship explodes.
