UX Redesign and Concept Development for CBCT Recovery Client

The goal of this project was to redesign the user interface of the CBCT Recovery Client for the medical technology company MedPhoton GmbH. As a vital bridge between raw image data and high-quality results, the software allows medical professionals to manipulate 3D and 2D data using complex reconstruction parameters. By transforming a non-intuitive internal tool into a user-friendly application, the project aimed to better serve a diverse group of users, including researchers and technicians.

The project began with an intensive research phase involving user interviews and think-aloud testing to identify core technical and workflow frustrations. These insights led to a complete UI/UX redesign that simplifies the entire workflow into a clear, three-stage linear path: Import, Parameters, and Export. This user-centered approach replaced a disorganized "blind" process with a structured experience, featuring intuitive controls like sliders and toggles, a real-time search, and a personalized "pinning" function for frequently used settings.

The final deliverable is a functional React/Next.js web prototype that converts a complex technical bottleneck into an intuitive, streamlined workflow. It resolves previous resolution issues and offers a scalable, user-centered interface designed specifically for the professional demands of medical imaging.

Due to a NDA, additional project images and specific internal data cannot be shared publicly.
