We Are Nothing Alike

First self-produced EP (4 songs) as artist 'mielle', in which every song is a collaboration with another person, with the overall theme of different forms of connections. Important was, that I could use my voice for the songs, and write the lyrics myself. Still, I put a focus on agreeing on a theme together and incorporating the thoughts and words of the person I collaborated with. Genre/s: In the direction of (Alternative/Indie-)Pop, contemporary R&B, singer-songwriter… the title ironically plays with the thought of how every person expresses themself and works differently, but when it comes to feelings and experiences, we are quite similar.

The pressure you put yourself under to succeed. Your own self trying to guide you towards taking care of yourself.

Leaving the bubble of home & family. Changing your view on them, the world and of yourself.

The feeling of fear of losing/not being with someone who you cherish whilst experiencing a happy moment with them.

How memories of a person who is no longer here, fade. Mourning not the person, but the memories of the person.
