Route Omega

A liminal solarpunk racer

Route Omega is a local single- and multiplayer point racer where up to four players compete to be the first to reach the finish line. Players must strategically manage their Energy, which serves as both health and boost fuel - it depletes when boosting for extra speed or when opponents draft in their slipstream to steal it. Running out of Energy forces players to stop and recharge, adding a tactical layer to the high-speed competition. Visually, the game reflects the importance of this energy management by combining technology and nature in a solarpunk themed environment. Moreover, the game aims to provide potentially infinite replayability through procedural generation of the whole level - track course, terrain, and environment alike. In future iterations, this could evolve into a tool for players to create and adjust the levels to their likings.
