DEADWAVE

2D Top-Down Zombie Survival Game

DEADWAVE is a 2D top-down zombie survival game developed in C# using SFML as part of Multimedia Project 1 at Salzburg University of Applied Sciences.

The player must survive increasingly difficult waves of zombies while managing limited ammunition, collecting resources, and strategically placing barricades to slow down enemies.

The project combines combat, resource management, enemy AI, wave progression, and defensive gameplay mechanics to create a challenging survival experience.

Gameplay

Survive, Collect, Build

The core gameplay loop revolves around surviving zombie waves for as long as possible.

Defeated zombies drop resources such as wood, metal fragments, and ammunition. These resources can be collected and used to construct or upgrade barricades that help defend against incoming enemies.

As waves progress, the number of zombies increases, forcing the player to make strategic decisions between fighting, collecting resources, and maintaining defenses.
