Vortex

The main theme “How do I let myself be?” delves deep into the question of how we can find and express ourselves in a society shaped by norms and expectations. The dancers represent the rupture that arises when we feel torn between the demands of the world and our authentic selves.

VORTEX combines the expressive power of dance with a unique visual and acoustic design: Self-composed audio tracks are mapped live with visual effects that amplify the dancers' inner conflict and emotional rollercoaster. Lighting design and sound work together to create an atmosphere that lets the viewer dive into the depths of the subject.

The project is a fusion of art forms that use innovative technical means to 
 stimulate the emotional and intellectual engagement with the question of 
 one’s own identity and authenticity.

Innovative staging: The combination of choreography, original music score and interactive lighting design on a 360° stage creates an immersive performance experience. Multi-sensory experience: Lighting design and sound are matched live to the movement of the dancers and intensify the emotional effect. Theme: VORTEX deals with the inner conflict in search of authenticity in a world full of external expectations. Length: The performance lasts 15 minutes and offers an intense, compact experience. Premiere: The premiere will take place in May 2025 at the Creativity Rules Festival.

With VORTEX, we want to not only offer an impressive dance performance, but also create a space for reflection and self-discovery. The project aims to encourage the audience to engage with their own identity and the challenges of the modern world. It is an invitation to find and live one's own authenticity - regardless of external expectations. VORTEX represents a bridge between disciplines: the boundaries of classical dance performance are expanded through the innovative use of technology and new ways of artistic expression are explored.
