Description
In Stonebattler, two opposing players compete for victory by placing and improving their armies,
battling for the glory of their commander. Each player begins with a limited supply of crystals, which
they can use to summon units of different sizes: Large, Medium, and Small. Large units have high
health and damage but attack slowly. Medium units balance attack speed, damage, and durability.
Small units are weaker but appear in greater numbers, overwhelming opponents through sheer
volume. Small units excel at fighting large enemies, their medium foes put a stop to them, but in turn
get crushed by their large adversaries.
At the start of each round, players receive one of four random upgrades, applicable to units of any
size. These upgrades change their very nature by granting new abilities, empowering their combat
ability and giving them a new mortal form. Once the armies are placed, the battle commences and
resolves automatically. The outcome depends on the strategic choices of the commanders on army
composition, position, their upgrades and the shaping of the battlefield. As one side emerges
victorious, the other commander suffers damage depending on how devastating the fight was. The
commanders then proceed to refine their strategy in this war of attrition.
