Zephyricos

Creature Sculpt

Zephyricos' are carnivorous pack animals. They don't have any claws, which makes them rely on their weight, speed, jaws and tail in order to hunt: They seperate their prey from their herd, hunt it until it is exhausted or until the predator sees an opportunity to strike. This happens either through ramming them with their horse-like body, slicing them with their sable-like tail tip or biting them with their sharp teeth. The focus of the project is creating a detailed creature sculpt of a fictional animal (based on horse anatomy with a flavour of dragon). It was blocked out in Maya, sculpted in ZBrush, textured in Substance Painter and then rendered with Unreal Engine 5. Post Production was done in Da Vinci Resolve.
