“It's not that hard” is a satirical and critical board game that highlights structural inequalities, particularly with regard to gender roles, through playful reversal. Players take on different roles with unequal starting conditions and go through three stages of life characterized by absurd rules, unpredictable event cards, and disadvantageous mechanics. The aim of the game is to make social privileges and discrimination tangible not only intellectually, but also physically and emotionally. Through irony, exaggeration, and playful confrontation, “It's not that hard” encourages reflection on social justice, power relations, and individual scope for action.
