In our project “Last Hope”, players will embark on a chilling journey into the depths of psychological horror. Set in a haunting SCP facility and at the Dr. Saper’s house, the game challenges players to confront the sinister influence of SCP-F32, better known
as depression itself, while guarding their sanity.
By day, they uncover crucial information about the interactions between the monstrous SCP and the determined doctor, delving deeper into the narrative.
But it’s at night when the true terror unfolds. As the doctor conducts research to free humanity from depression, players must complete intense minigames and task while keeping their sanity on a steady level. With each passing day, the challenges become more daunting, testing the player’s patience and resilience. The game’s innovative mechanics, including a dynamic sanity level system and immersive visual and auditory changes, ensure an immersive experience of the true horror of depression. Players will feel the pressure mount as they struggle to maintain their grip on reality while uncovering the truth behind the SCP’s sinister agenda.
With a blend of atmospheric art and sound design, players will be drawn into a world of creeping dread and heart-pounding suspense. Every choice matters, as the game’s outcome is shaped by the player’s actions and ability to withstand the horrors that lurk within.
In this project, we want to show how differently depression can manifest itself in those affected and accompany people individually as their own "monster". The aim is to create more understanding and space for this topic.
