algoMat
In the realm of computer science, algorithms and data structures are among the most crucial concepts. Despite their importance, they are often perceived as complex and difficult. Many students find these topics particularly challenging in their coursework. The reaction is typically polarized: students either develop a passion for the subject or struggle to grasp the material, aiming to pass with an average grade.
The goal of algoMat is to bridge this "gap" by creating an accessible pathway for everyone. By utilizing HTML Canvas, these various concepts are brought to life through interactivity and visualization. This approach allows students not only to understand these algorithms but also to "experience" them.
The interactive features and visual representations on the website will enable learners to actively engage with the content, rather than passively absorbing information from videos by FH-Ass.Prof. Andreas Bilkes, MSc. Students will have the opportunity to experiment with algorithms and data structures, which can lead to a deeper understanding. To further solidify their knowledge, each topic is accompanied by a quiz.
By developing this website, the aim is to transform the perception of the Algorithms & Data Structures course from a daunting obstacle into an engaging challenge.
