Motivation
So, why did I make an ancient egypt game?
Well, I wanted the player to feel like he/she is in another world. I also always liked the egyptians and their culture.
Together I came up with Lost in the Pyramid. The player should not have stress and action. In this game he/she should think about their actions and should be curios.
It is a game for in between. Reconsider your mind and dive into the world of ancient egypt.
Facts
My first and only level is about the egyptian god osiris. He is the god of the afterlife. In a legend it is said that he was dismembered. His wife searched for his remains. When she found it, she managed to retrieve her husbands body.
This is how I got my idea with the statue of osiris. The player has to find his head and bring it back to him.
A personal fact:
It is my very first selfmade game and I am motivated to expend it in the future, to keep working on it and to make it bigger, with more secrets and puzzles.
Assets
Every visual asset is made by myself. I stack with a pixel art theme, because it is nostalgic and simple.
I worked with my tablet and the app "Pixilart". There I made every graphic, from the background-walls to the character.
The background-music is from Youtube Free Sounds. The song is called "desert-song".
For other images I worked with a website, which can pixelate images.
It is called Pixelator. You can find the link above.
I edited some graphics with the help of Figma.
