Description

Dungeon Descent is a top-down shooter game where the player navigates through a large dungeon, battling two types of enemies along the way. The game uses a standard WASD movement system, with mouse-based aiming and shooting. Additional mechanics include jumping and a dodge function for more advanced play. The player's objective is to clear each room of enemies to progress, ultimately reaching and defeating a boss in the final room. Victory is achieved when this boss enemy is eliminated, symbolizing the player's successful journey through the dungeon.

Gameplay

Players traverse through a carefully designed dungeon layout, which is inhabited by two distinct types of foes. These adversaries bring their own set of challenges, necessitating strategic thinking and quick reflexes from the players. Progression hinges on the player's ability to eliminate all enemies within a room to unlock the path forward. The control scheme is based on the familiar WASD for movement, allowing for a seamless gaming experience for players of varying skill levels. Mouse-based aiming and shooting bring precision to the table, giving the player full control over the direction and timing of their attacks. To add to the dynamics of the game, we've incorporated jumping and dodge mechanics. These maneuvers allow players to navigate tricky situations and avoid enemy attacks. It's these elements that, we hope, transform the game from a straightforward shooter to a more engaging combat experience.
