Imagine you are walking through the streets at night. As usual, no other person is present that late. The only difference: You feel some random creature lurking in the dark. As you feel scared, you decide to run away quickly, lest being harmed.
Gameplay
A Spirit’s Demise is a top-down-Game, which was inspired by games like Dead by Daylight, Pacman and Vampire Survivors. The player is haunted by a ghost, though the player can only estimate the spirit’s position by listening to their heartbeat, as the spirit is invisible. The closer the ghost is, the faster the player’s heart beats. To guide the player through the map, careful movement is required. One wrong step could already be your demise. If you can outlast the ghost remaining life span, you shall be considered victorious!
Behaviours
At the start of the game, the ghost obtains a set of behaviours, it will perform during the game. Each of these behaviours come with an predetermined chance of occurring, which may change during the course of the game. This system offers unpredictability and allows for replayability.
Compete
Being bold grants a plentiful reward. Those who cannot be felled shall compete amongst each other to establish the true champion of A Spirit’s Demise.
Future
A Spirit’s Demise was built to ensure adding future content with ease. More maps or new ghost behaviours could be implemented without any problem. To grant replayability, an experience system is being worked on, which allows the player to invest in skills and abilities to enhance their gameplay experience.
