Memento Mori, the latin phrase for “remember that you will die”, is a short film about different stages of life and the passage of time. Different scenes represent different periods in life; childhood, adolescence, adulthood, and the end of one’s life. Varying in style and level of realism and connected through music and impactful scene transitions they should serve as a reminder that life is fleeting and to be mindful of the moment.
Our goal was to create a film consisting of scenes that are visually appealing and connected through a common theme. Most of the work was done in Maya and Blender with a heavy focus on layout, texturing, lighting, and rendering.
