Gladius

Bambo Hoff, an 80s action-movie hero was sent back in time to stop an evil sorcerer from world domination. He is equipped with a magic sword assault rifle, forged specifically for him because he doesn't know how to use swords. The ever-increasing speed and amount of enemies quickly transforms the parallax background into a maze riddled with bullets you have to evade to survive, whilst shooting the bad guys.
